This announcement follows a year of growth for youth basketball in Minnesota. In the past year, more than 150,000 youth have participated in basketball leagues throughout the state. Just last weekend, 1,000 players participated in the Timberwolves and Lynx Basketball Academy’s first-ever State Showdown.
“The state of Minnesota is a tremendous basketball state,” said Vice President of Basketball Development John Thomas. “The impact of the NBA and WNBA is only growing and through the Academy we create experiences that connect kids to the game we love. These summer camps will help players elevate their game and we are looking forward to seeing players on the court this summer.”
