The eleven states that have legalized sports betting in the United States have been gearing up for the busy NFL betting season. With the first week of professional football starting, the state of New York ups the ante with the opening of the largest sportsbook in the state. Located at the Yellow Brick Road Casino, the sportsbook is operated in partnership between the Oneida Tribe and Caesars Entertainment.
Preseason is behind us and the official start of the NFL’s 100th season began Thursday, when the Green Bay Packers upset long time rival, the Chicago Bears. Sportsbooks had set the Bears as a 3 point favorite in the game, with a total of 46.5 points. A final score resulted in a payday for anyone who had taken the Packers or the Under on the game.
As NFL gets the regular season started, sportsbooks across the country are moving into high gear in response to the most widely bet on season in sports. New York state has expanded it’s sports betting capabilities with the launch of a new sportsbook at the Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango, NY.
The Yellow Brick Road Sportsbook includes all of the perks and amenities you would expect from a modern bookmaking operation. The facility combines a full service sports bar with a betting environment that includes betting windows, kiosks and a 32 LCD television to watch games. There are an additional 35 large screen tvs to make sure all of the action is covered.
At nearly 9,000 square feet, the sportsbook is now officially the largest sports betting parlor in the state of New York. The sportsbook opened one day ahead of another new sportsbook, located at Resorts World Catskills. With these two new additions, there are now seven sports betting lounges operating in Upstate New York.
The Yellow Brick Road is the third sportsbook operation in the area that has been opened by the Oneida Indian Nation. The tribe also operates the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, and the Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. All of the sportsbooks operated by the Oneida Indian Nation operate under the brand name “The Lounge”, and are done in partnership with Nevada-based Caesars Entertainment.
As is the case with all of the locations that became authorized to conduct sports betting business in New York this year, bettors who want to bet on sports at The Lounge must do so in person. New York does not currently have mobile betting as an available option, so you must visit the sportsbook to bet, and while you’re there, you may as well grab a drink at the sports bar and watch the game on the biggest tv in town.
Bettors in the area who want to visit the largest sportsbook in New York and see The Lounge at the Yellow Brick Road for themselves, can do so by going to:
